Why did the council make my front door so small i can't fit a sofa in it?
I can't fit a sofa into my flat, i recently got my 1st council flat, but my door is only 22" wide, ive looked at Futons---Sofabeds---2 seaters---i live on the second floor and my windows would have to be phisically removed and even then nothing would fit, the council told me that it is not there problem, i love my living room, and i feel it needs a good sofa, but all i can think of is a mattress to sit, i suffer REALLY bad backs because of this, i have been sitting on a table chair for 8 weeks, what channel can i go down about this.
I can't help with the size of your door, but can recommend a sofa company. I am currently lying on a very comfortable 3 seater which arrived flat-pack. If you can fit through a door, so can the sofa (or armchair). I went for the soft seat option although their standard seating is also comfortable. The company deliver to the doorstep and it takes approx 1 hour to put it together. I am really pleased with the result. You can chose one of their options or 'design' your own - number of seats, colour of fabric, style of arms etc. First saw them on 60minute makeover (I know I'm sad!!), visited the showroom and decided to buy as I hadn't found anything else I liked and would be confident it fitted. I think the prices are reasonable too.
