Has anyone else had a bad experience with the police?

My husband was charged for a dwi. He is in a wheelchair and the officer or officers who pulled him over grabbed him from the drivers seat and let him fall to the ground. He was left on the ground until an ambulance showed up and they picked him up and put him in an ambulance and took him to the police station. I had to pick him up at the police station and i was told he was not very cooperative. I noticed when we got home he had a sore on his knee. My husband has no feelings from the waist down and he injures easily and doesn't know it. Who knows what damage was done. Has anyone every been through this kind of treatment?

If your husband was intoxicated and uncooperative, how would the officer know that he was handicapped? He could have just explained, pointed out the wheelchair in the backseat, and the special gas and brake controls on the dash, and he would not have been forcibly removed. I'm very sorry that he is handicapped, but his drunk driving could have caused another person(s) to be in a wheelchair.
