can i bring a laptop bag and put in the overhead compartment, and then also bring my purse with a jacket and book in my lap (or put under the seat in front of me)? would this be ok?
I am assuming the laptop bag is relatively small, you may want to check the restrictions for a carry-on bag dimensions.
Either wear the jacket, put it with your bag in the overhead compartment... when taking off or landing the sitarists will want to see that your seat belt is on. Once in the air, and the seat belt sign is off you can definitely put your jacket on your lap.
A book is no problem, there are usually pouches on the back of every seat so you can store magazines/books ext...
Purse is fine under the seat in front of you, you will not be allowed to keep it in your lap.

Wheelchair windsurfing during wind storm
I Was Indirectly Struck By Lightning In 1998 And I Have Had No Effects That I Know Of. Is This Normal.?
In 1998, I was working at Publix In Fort Pierce, FL. as a front service personnel. I had just finished bringing some groceries to a customers car, and was walking in with the cart in one hand and my umbrella in the other because it was raining. I was at the bottom of the wheelchair ramp going into the building when lightning hit the lightning rod on the building, branched off, and hit me throwing me a good 15 to 20 feet away and knocking me out. When I awoke I was soaking wet. I walked into the store and my manager asked me if I was alright because I was white as a ghost. I had no marks on my body, but ever since I have had problems with intense shaking when I get nervous and my metabolism has never been the same. I also was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder while in boot camp shortly thereafter. Is this the body's normal response to that kind of event and is there anything that I can do to reverse it? If anybody has exrerienced anything similar; I'd appreciate your help.
No sorry you won't ever be change it back to normal. Some people get extremely hot flashes soaking in ice tubs and all kinds of things, No cure. You are not the only one that this has happened to.
