Wheelchair Tire Covers
I am a married woman whom JUST wants to go dancing then go back home...Are there any safe places to go?
My husband is quite sick, bound to his wheelchair or bed. Once a month I get some me time... I hesitate as a very married woman to go anywhere. For six years I have put me on hold. I am tired of the unwritten pages in my life. Are there any places in the Tacoma area you would reccomend for a night of dancing and good people. I live near Mt Rainier, 40+, don't do rap or heavy metal. Minimal cover charges and I don't drink.
Sometimes Cinderella can stay out late, but she usually has to be home by midnight. Why distance is a factor. It takes 1.5 hours from the club off of I-5 and South Tacoma Way. : (
If you like country music, you might try the Rockin' Horse in Renton. I know it's a bit far, but it's smoke & alcohol free. Friday nights are $12 for the dance lesson at 7:00 and the dance starts at 8:00.
I wouldn't recommend going the 3rd Saturday of each month though, as it's Christian Singles night...obviously, not something you'd be interested in since you are a devoted wife.

can my insurence not cover me for a electric wheelchair because of my visual impairment legally?
I've been visually impaired all my life but six months ago I woke up and my right leg was paralized. I have been walking with forearms crutches ever since, back in Janurary I asked my neuro doctor to right a script for a electric wheelchair, so I can learn O&M skills and become as independent as I once was. now I've been waiting for five months and the outfiter called us to tell us that are claim was denied due to my blindness. is that really there decision if the doctor deemed it medically nessary? I've been waitng for a long time and I'm ready to move on. I'm tired of the this red tape crap. I NEED a wheelchair for college. as i can't safely travel on my own with my hands tied to crutches.
i doubt they can because of the blindness, but they can if they can show you don't need a motorized chair. They may be able to say that your arms are healthy, therefore you can use a manual chair. this often doesn't make sense, because often an appropriate manual chair is more expensive that a motorized generic chair.
have you looked into getting a Hemi manual chair. it is made so you can steer it with one hand.
in the US, you can ask Vocational rehab to help you get a wheelchair, manual or motorized for college or work.
Insurance companies purposely use ridiculous excuses to get you to give up.
there is a difference between being EVALUATED and being found unable to use the chair appropriately and beiing flat out denied because you can't see.
its one thing if you are EVALUATED and found not to be capable by the chair vender/physical therapist...
