The family wheeled Grandma out onto the lawn in her wheelchair, where her 100th birthday celebrations were taking place.
Grandma couldn't speak very well, but she would write notes when she needed to communicate.
After a short while, Grandma started leaning over to her left, so some family members grabbed her, straightened her up, and stuffed a pillow on her left side.
A short time later, she started to lean over to her right, so again the family straightened her up and stuffed a pillow down on her right side.
Soon, she started leaning forward, so people again straightened her up, and then tied a pillowcase around her waist to hold her up.
A nephew who arrived late went up to her and said "Hi Grandma, you're looking good - how are you feeling?"
Grandma took out her little notepad and slowly wrote a note to the nephew . . . . . . . .
"Pissed off - the morons won't let me fart".
hahah
In the dim and distant past
When life's tempo wasn't so fast,
Grandma used to rock and knit,
Crochet, tat and baby sit.
When the kids were in a jam,
They could always call on Gram.
But today she's in the gym
Exercising to keep slim.
She's checking the web or surfing the net,
Sending some e-mail or placing a bet.
Nothing seems to stop or block her,
Now that Grandma's off her rocker.

What should we do about my grandfather? tie him up or let him fall?
My grandfather is 78yrs old and he is a heavy man but he still manages to get up and walk or wobble.. the thing is that when he put him in his wheelchair/sofa he tries to get up for no reason he falls! he is never alone but he still tried to get up. At night he stands up and walks around the house without supervision.. and sometimes he falls! We do not want him in a nursing home bcause we have a lot of family and we can take of him the question here is should we secure him in his bed at night? we were thinking about putting some bars or maybe a special belt around his waist ..same for his wheechair. Is this cruel? We're only preventing accident.
The bad thing is that we try to hold him down he starts yelling "IM TIED UP LIKE A DOG!! HELP HELP HELP HELP!!" (he is not all there) and we don't know what to do
Talk about this with his doctors. Or you might need to place him in a nursing home where he is watch 24/7.
