Help?!!!I DONR KNOW WHAT TO DO!~?
I saw my gramps operating an electric wheelchair today. He was all over the place, in the bushes, in the street. I asked him if he wanted help but he said no in a drunken slur. He said our apartment complex was two miles from the bar and he would make it home in his wheelchair. Then he ran in to the curb. He got catapulted onto the hard asphault. I got him up and going again, with pavement stuck in his teeth... and vice versa...but he was really intoxicated. I sprinted back. Now I'm back at the apartment complex and I locked the door.. scared he'll come in and fall down the basement stairs in his electronic tri-funtional wheelchair. I don't want him to lose whatever sanity he may have left. I'm scared alone in my house... what should I do if he accelerates his wheelchair into the front door?? He may have caught rabies from my second cousin Bobby he went to visit. Help?!?
excellent question. This happend to me last week. Seriously, this same exact thing happened. I even have a cousin named bobby. Anyway, i had to take gramps out to the woods, if ya know what i mean

My apartment building is not wheelchair accessible, what are the laws?
My apartment building is a 3 story building in Berkeley, CA. I was going to invite some family over to visit me but realized that both my Uncle, who is handicapped, and my Grandpa would never make it up the stairs. This just doesn't seem legal to me. What would happen if I broke MY leg or needed special assistance for any reason??? Would I have to move out?? It seems crazy!
How do I find out more about such laws that apply to my situation in California? I have noticed many similar problems in this area i.e. my school bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible and one guy in my class was locked in the bathroom for hours because he couldn't open the door! HELP!
Why did you rent an apartment without handicap Access when you know2 you have relatives who need it to visit you? Rather thoughtless of you.
Why should they be required to provide for your needs or wants? Did you ask for this in your lease? Are you willing to pay for these accommodations? Is your apartment open for public access? I did not think so,
