How to leash train my chihuahua puppy?
Ok, here's the deal. My chihuahua is 5 months old, we got him when he was 3 months old. He's had no training at all. I keep him in a really big rabbit cage so that he can pee and poop and it'll be go right thru. I'm going to housebreak him by using the puppy pads (can't do it outside because his mommy is in a wheelchair and can't go outside in the grass every hr and his daddy (me) works.) But I'd still like to leash train him, but he doesn't walk with me on the leash..he jumps and hops and tries to run away from the leash (that's hooked onto him) it's a retractable leash because if it's a reg leash he'll just stop lay down and chew on it. I don't let him have free reigh of the apt because he chews on everything (cords plugs fanstands you name it) so he has a little play pen. He just needs to be trained to just not be so rampunctious. But for now I just need to know how to leash train this little teething ChiChi. Thanks!
first get him used to the leash by putting it on him then just letting him walk about and do this sevral times. once he is comfortable with the leash pick up the other end (but dont walk him) let him wounder around with you holding it. then try pulling him towards you and if he come praise and give him a treat. if he doesnt DONT punnish him it will only make matters worse. when he begins to walk praise him ALOT. when your pup is comfortable with walkin on the leash take him to a familier place with no distractions (like your back yard or an empty street). then gradually widen your walking area...

What are these things for...????
Where I live they have been installing these "bump" pad things on every corner of the streets. I have seen them before in other cities but have no idea what purpose they serve. Is it for the seeing impaired or to reduce slippage for wheelchairs??? Just wondering.
Not the actual ramp itself...I know what those are for..but they are putting these "bumpy pads" on the ramp itself...and that is what I am wondering what they are for.
I think the bumpy pads on the ramp itself are to provide traction for the wheel chair.
Some wheel chairs are motorized and may not need help, but some roll because a human muscle does it.
Going up, get part way, rest, go some more.
Going down, don't go all the way too fast.
