The Lifespan of Wheelchairs
Is there any way to get by without sacrificing my marriage??
I love my husband with all my heart which is why I HATE my situation.
My hubby is deaf & Is on SSDI, I am in a wheelchair & going to college to better our lives so we don't have to depend on the government.
They have cut both of our medicaid because we " Make too much" & Medicare will not pay for the drugs that I need desperately!! Not to mention any sickness that comes along will totally bankrupt us - we couldn't afford to go to the Dr.
If we get a divorce I will at least get my medicaid back BUT I don't want to divorce my husband!!!

PLEASE don't say anything horrible to me though....I'm depressed & angry enough as it is.
I think before you consider divorce (which would be on a piece of paper only) talk to some people who are advocates for those with disabilities.
If all else fails, a divorce in your case would only be a piece of paper and not at all the end of your marriage. However, it does pose legal problems such as the fact that should something happen to one of you, the other is not the "legal" spouse anymore.
Best to calm down, seek out some help and then push for your rights. You may want to contact the media, have them do a story and that could draw attention to your problem.

Dems are now saying that the larger healthcare turd is dead, and they will try to pass the more popular aspects of it piecemeal.
We should hammer them about doing something about their magical plan to save billions from medicare/medicaid by 'eliminating waste, fraud and abuse'. They can start by slashing the budget allocation for medicare/medicaid by whateve amount they were planning to save, and go from there.
