My husband and I were having an argument, actually he was screaming and calling me an asshole, and I was trying to explain, which only made him scream louder. He told me to get out of the kitchen and I refused, so he sprayed me in the face with cold water, soaking my face, hair, upper body with the sink sprayer. I was about 4 feet away so he had it on pretty high. BTW, our heater is out and all we have is a fireplace and the oven. We live in the NE and it was 20 outside. I am also disabled and use a wheelchair.
Yes it is assault and in many states the fact that you're in a wheel chair makes it a higher charge.
In CT, the statute is 53a-61a and the penalty is one year; not suspendable.
For regular assualt (53a-61) It's a class A misdemeanor.
