I was approved today by my doctor and insurance company to get my first wheelchair. I'm an 18 year old female. I can walk but I have some bone and muscle conditions in my back and legs making it very painful to move and walk A lot as well as tiring very quickly while standing or walking. I think the Invacare A-4 rigid is a very good first chair. It's nice and adjustable so you can figure out what settings you like.

Invacare wheelchair tires keep getting stuck.?
I have an Invacare A-4 wheelchair and every winter my tires seem to keep getting stuck when I try to take them off to put in my car. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
Go to your local car parts store and buy a small packet of anti seize compound made for spark plugs. Put a small amount on the screw threads and they'll release much easier from then on.
