Wheelchair Flying
Wheelchairs and flying by plane, should wheelchair user be able to stay in their chair?
Yes they should, in certain circumstances. Some wheelchairs are not just for mobility, they are also for support. The person is usually restrained in their chair. Buses transport wheelchairs and their users safely - so should planes. There is a plan on one particular airline (can't remember which) to have a front row removable seat for this very purpose.
My guess what this refers to is a paralympian who was distraught when they wanted him to used the airline wheelchair instead of his own. The airline chair was not one designed to self-propel and he would have been dependent on others to push him until his flight and up to the gate. He refused to use this chair and instead scooted around on his butt all through the airport. ( A little extreme, but he made his point.)
Most, not all, airlines, let you keep your chair or scooter up to the edge of the plane and than you transfer into a aisle chair. I personally think this is essential because chair pushers are clueless about how to push a person in a chair. It isn't rocket science, but there are some tricks to it. About 10 years ago I was being pushed in such a chair, and they pushed me down a ramp. I told them to take me down it backwards, but they didn't - and it flipped forward. I ended up on my knees. I was in excrutiating pain - and attribute much of my chronic knee pain to this incident.

Flying Wheelchair
I am scared of flying how can i not be scared even though i flown b4 ? ASAP?
I want to go to California but its cheaper to fly then it is to drive my mom said. I flown b4 but i was 7 or 8 don't remember. I am scared about it crashing or terrorist taking over the plane or something like that. I flown a plane b4 to Florida a bunch of times but i am still scared. I am not sure if there any medicine i could take or not. I also need oxygen and a wheelchair when i get off the plane so i am worried about that. I would rather go in a hospital plane then a public one but i don't think that will work lol. I almost went to Jamaica with my mom but i couldn't get a passport b/c of dad issues long story.
Any ideas ? On how not to be scared i really want to California

First - talk with the airline on which you want to fly about your oxygen and wheelchair requirements. Airlines are very strict with oxygen use during the flight, and you want to be very certain that your requirements can be met. Oxygen concentrators are generally the only way to get additional oxygen while on board a standard commercial flight. Bottled oxygen may not be allowed except in the terminal during a layover - and that has to be arranged in advance with an oxygen supplier in that layover city.
You can go on any travel site to find the airlines that offer flights between the cities you need to travel between and call some of them to find out what the arrangements are and what it costs (the oxygen service will most likely cost extra). Wheel chairs are a very common need and the airlines are very used to providing that service. To set your mind at ease about the medical issues, call some airlines.
As far as crashes - despite the impression you may get from news reports, crashes of commercial airplanes are very rare - that is one reason why they get so much coverage. Car crashes happen every day, and never get coverage unless it is a huge pile up. In fact, on average over the years, more people die every single day in car crashes than die in a whole year from airplane crashes. Yet you get into a car, I imagine, anytime you need to and never give it a second thought.
Also, despite the 9/11 tragedies, hijackings are also very rare, and the last couple of times anyone tried to do anything, the other passengers on the plane subdued and restrained the person until the plane landed - no one was hurt at all.
As far as medication for anxiety - you must talk to your doctor about that. It would be irresponsible to recommend any medication without being in a position to know your medical history.
