Would you take a disabled friend into your family?
The scenario; a married couple with two young kids, the wife's best friend is confined to a wheelchair for life due to a broken back and currently looked after by wellfare services in state accomodation. The wife now wants to build an extension and bring him to live permanently with the family. Does anyone else think this is one hell of a big commitment?
Hell yeah. And HELL NO I wouldn't allow it in my house. That's ridiculous. Friend or foe. Your a family, you can't have random people living with you. Grr I hate that crap. >;(

I need to find a builder who can build an extension.However this is a building for someone in a wheelchair,?
How can I locate builders who specialise in building for special needs requirements such as people in wheelchairs? I live in Limerick Ireland.
You could just call each one and ask them.
You could talk to an architect and ask if they have experience with disability access. The architect will probaly advise you to design for access and the builder will build what you design.
I doubt you'll find a builder that "specializes" in that, but they will build what you ask for.
