Living Yoga: Lower Body Yoga/Abs Yoga/Upper Body - $19.99 Includes:Abs Yoga for Beginners (2000) Abs Yoga for Beginners Yoga is an ancient Hindu practice that uses breathing and stretching exercises to prepare the body for the spiritual path. These exercises condition the physical body so that the mind can practice meditation without obstacles. Western society has adopted these exercises as a fitness program. With the desert landscape of Death Valley in the background, premier yoga instructor Rodney Yee has created a workout that shapes and strengthens the abdominal muscles. The 20-minute routine starts with four minutes of conscious breathing, continues with 13 minutes of abdominal yoga poses, and concludes with three minutes of deep relaxation techniques. Some of the poses may be difficult for beginners (e.g. lowering straight legs to the ground), and a rolled blanket is needed for support in angled poses. ~ Heather M. Fierst, Rovi |

Chest & Back Exercises: Upper Body Workout : Trapezius Dips for Your Back Workout
What exercises would you recommend?
I'm in a wheelchair, I have transverse myelitis. I can get out of my chair, I can't bare weight or stand up or straighten my legs, I have very little muscles in my lower body. I was wondering what kind of exercises would be best for working my abs and arm muscles or generally speaking my upper body?
Joining sled hockey this year and want to be fit before the season starts.
I can't really answer your question, because I don't know if you go to the gym or what kind of equipment you have. I can tell you we have a guy at our gym that's in a wheelchair and he don't let it slow him down at all. He can basically do all of the upper body workouts that everybody else does. There are some he can't do, but thats the great thing about working out, you can get creative, and I promise there is a way to find the results you want. This guys an inspiration, he is friggin huge! He's been in many of the bodybuilding magazines, and does bodybuilding competitons. So if you want to build your upper body, I know it can be done , and I know you can doit.
