Wheelchair Equipment
Does all policlinics in western Europe or USA suited and equipped for invalids?
I mean access ramps, lifts for wheelchair-bound invalids, illuminated indicator boards for deafs, sound signalization for blinds etc. But NOT the special medical equipment. I need to know, for example, if physically disabled person on a wheelchair or blind one wants to visit polyclinic because of headache, can he choose among all polyclinics or just visit the special one.
Unfortunately no. Not all clinics are accessible. all new ones (last 5 years) tend to be but older ones or ones in older buildings may not have done some or all or the necessary changes to the buildings to make them fully accessible. I think there is a better chance in the states of having accessible building as things there typically aren't as space conscious (tight on space) as they are in western Europe.
