How to keep dogs out of cat dishes?

How to keep dog out of cat dishes?
My cats are not allowed on counters or tables and will not drink out of the same dish the dogs have. I want to remove to pet gate since my mom has moved in with us and she can't fit her wheelchair through the 18" doorway in the gates.

Feed the cats in a room that the dogs are not allowed into - lets say, the bathroom. Put the cats in there for 30 minutes with their food and the door closed. Then take the food up for a couple of hours and repeat. If you give the dogs a chance they will indulge & indulge & indulge in the kitty food.

epic fail! boy in wheelchair gets jacked by garage door

home tips for the elderly?

What things can I do to a home to make it more convent for a elderly person? I know about making doorways wider for wheelchairs and bodiless showers any other ideas?
Mom is going to be living in a addition onto my house with me and my husband. She is in great health for now but I want to have it ready in case we need it later on she is 76 now.

Well Just wondering is this person going to be living alone? Or are you moving them in your home and there will be somebody here to help them?

*You can get one of those Body Chairs for the Shower Room
*Add bars by the Toilet ( To support themselves to get up)
*If a wheelchair is involved a little ramp into the shower and exits.
* Backscratchers, Also There are those little claws to pick up things from the floor
*Depending On whether or not they live alone, Having a little potty in the bedroom, helps a lot in case of a middle of the night run- They don't have to walk as much in the dark to get to the bathroom and that means less chance of falling

If there is an Ace Mart Drug Store near you.... THose are GREAT they have all the supplies needed to make your home into a convinient home for your loved ones. PLus experts to help you.

*Will They be living at home alone or will somebody be there for them? What is the condition? Do they just need minor car/ help??
