Wheelchair Disabled Travel

Where can I take my disabled father on holiday in January, that will be warm and is not too far away?
My 82 year old father would like me to take him on holiday in January. We don't want to travel too far and, when we reach our destination, I need to be able to push him around in a wheelchair. Anywhere warm, that does not involve a long distance flight and has reasonable facilities for disabled people, would be fine. Thanks for your input!
If you are in the UK why not take him on a cruise to - say - the Canaries.
Mostly they leave from Southampton and are very geared up for wheelchair passengers both on the ship and getting you ashore.
You can get cheaper cruise lines using older ships but if you go on P+O their facilities are superb as their ships are all "newish" and therefore designed for easy access.

Inclusion of Disabled People in Transport Facilities $111.53 To bring peace and justice in the society, it is necessary to include the disabled persons in this society by tooth and nail. A country cannot uplift its socioeconomic conditions unless and until people from all strata of the society have equal access to physical, economic and social opportunities. Though the developed countries of the world become concern about the rights of the disability, developing countries like Bangladesh is still away to achieve the satisfaction. Recently NFOWD (National Forum of Organizations Working with the Disabled) identified 5.6 percent of the total population of Bangladesh are disabled. So, this segment of population should be ascendant to get their rights in all aspects of the society. This dissertation is concern about the transport facilities for People with disabilities, which will make them socially included. The research has focused on the social deprivation of disabled people in case of the transport facilities, the existing travel pattern and frequency and the way to increase their mobility especially in Badda union of Dhaka City. Does a Disabled Child = a Disabled Family? $23.45 Many people attempt to address issues concerning developmentally disabled children and their families from a purely academic viewpoint. Others have very personal experiences with little or no professional or academic background. Both can be beneficial and provide helpful information, but they both also have potential pitfalls and limitations. The purpose here is to use personal experience along with professional and academic information to help professionals, parents, and siblings in their adjustment to their new journey. The goal is to assist families in ways of achieving balance between taking care of the needs of parents to continue to develop themselves, their relationships, their nondisabled children, and the disabled family member. The ideas presented here are not intended to address specific disabilities. They are to provide perspective and some general helpful ideas that can be implemented regardless of the disability of the child.
