Wheelchair Bound Disabilities
Under ADAs Assoc Provision can my fiancee be fired for attendance if she is caring for me?
I have a severe orthopedic disability. I am not wheelchair bound but have extensive bone decay in my fibula which is now inoperable. I have quite a few regularly scheduled doctors’ appointments to monitor my condition. My fiancée’ works at WalMart and they have put her on a DDay, which means if she misses or does anything to be ‘written up’ she is immediately terminated. Does the ADA Association Provision cover my fiancée in the event she has to miss work to care for me(and if can be documented)?
