Wheelchair Bed Lifts

My ribs.....Owwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!?
I went to the dr. with rib pain (mid section of ribs on on the side of my left rib cage) I've had for at least a week (since I had to lift my grandma out of her wheelchair and into the bed).
The doctor said my x-ray showed a cracked rib (in the front towards the side) and a definate abnormally large space between 2 of my ribs in the back (same ribs involved as the cracked one). The area (if this makes it easier) is slightly below where my bra is on the front side and in the back.
It hurts very bad whether I'm moving or just sitting. Any ideas what would help besides ice, heat, or Tylenol (I can't take Ibuprofen or Aleve because I have asthma).
What is this separation in the back called, is it called dislocated or what? I want to look it up but don't know what it is called.
I broke two of my ribs so I can relate to your pain. Definitely do not sneeze or cough because that will make it worse. Get a lot of rest and try not to do anything strenuous with the arm on the side of the body that your cracked rib is on. I hope you feel better!

Bed $81.25 A bed is a piece of furniture (or a location) used as a place to sleep. Beds usually consist of a mattress placed on top of a box spring innersprung base. The box spring is a large mattresssized box containing wood and springs that provide additional support and suspension for the mattress. The box spring will typically lie on a bed frame (which lifts the mattress/mattressbox spring off the ground) or on slats (usually made of 2 x 4 wood). A headboard, side rails, and footboard or front rail will complete the bed. Headboard only beds often incorporate a dust ruffle, bed skirt, or valance sheet to hide the bed frame. For greater head support, most people use a pillow, placed at the top of a mattress. Also used is some form of covering blanket to insulate the sleeper, often bed sheets, a quilt, or a duvet. Also, some people prefer to dispense with the box spring and bed frame, and replace it with a platform bed style. This is more common in Europe, Australia and Japan. Anyone Know What Secondary Scoliosis Surgery is Like? I Need to Have Rods put back into my spine.?
I am 20 years old and have Spina Bifida. About a year ago I had scoliosis surgery to remove the rods in my back as they had both broken, and I have started to notice my back is curving. I'm thinking I probably will have to have surgery once again to put rods in my back. My question is how bad is the surgery and I'm wondering what the recovery time was like for other people who have had this surgery. I am in a wheelchair and I'm nervous about having to be at a 90 degree angle again. The surgey to have rods put in was brutal, with 36 days in the hospital and having to be at a 90 degree angle and I also had to use a lift to do the most mundane things such as going to bed or showering. If I can get away with just a belly band that would be my ultimate happy place. Any answers to my question would be great. Thanks for reading my question.
You had the surgery once, so why are you asking what it will be like again? It will probably be a little worse because you are older. Not sure how old you were when they were placed the first time though. You need to talk to your orthopedic surgeon about it.
