I have rib pain and a popping sensation....haven't been injured?
I am a healthy 38 yo female, approx 135 lbs and 5ft 5in tall. About a week and a half ago I had to lift my grandmother out of her wheelchair to put her in bed, since then I have had A LOT of pain and popping on my left side just below my bra area. It hurts to stand, stretch, breath, and twist, could I have broken a rib lifting her and didn't know it?
You may have broken a rib, but sounds more like you've torn the ligaments in between your ribs (the muscles that expand to allow you to breathe) especially if you didn't notice any sudden pain during the heavy-lifting. I suggest getting it checked out by a GP.

SAFE TO TRAVEL @ 35 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY?
I WILL BE 35 1/2 WEEKS WHEN THE FAMILY TAKES THEIR SUMMER VACATION. I HAVE THREE SMALL CHILDREN AGES 2 & 4 YEAR OLD TWINS SO I WILL NOT LET THEM TRAVEL WITHOUT ME. WE WILL BE DRIVING A 15 PASSENGER VAN AND I WILL HAVE A WHOLE ROW TO MYSELF TO KEEP MY LEGS ELEVATED IF NEEDED. IT IS A 10 DAY TRIP FROM ILLINOIS TO FLORIDA SO IT WILL TAKE APPROXIMATELY 22 HOURS AND ON THE WAY THERE AND BACK WE ALWAYS STOP @ A HOTEL TO GET SLEEP OVERNIGHT THEN GET BACK ON THE ROAD. I WILL BE RESTING MOST OF THE TIME BUT WHEN WE GO TO THE THEME PARKS I WILL BE REQUESTING A MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIR WHICH THEY HAVE AVAILABLE. I WILL BE GOING ON 38 WEEKS BY THE TIME I GET BACK. MY DOCTOR IS WORRIED BUT SHE SAID THAT AS LONG AS I DON'T HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS BETWEEN NOW AND THE TRIP, I SHOULD BE FINE AND SHE WILL SEND ALL OF MY RECORDS WITH JUST IN CASE. MY 2 YEAR OLD WAS BORN @ 38 WEEKS AND MY TWINS @ 37 WEEKS BECAUSE MY FLUID WAS LOW. DO YOU THINK I WOULD BE OUT OF MY MIND TO GO ON THIS TRIP?
This is something you need to discuss with your Dr. I would listen to her advice on travel at this point in your pregnancy. Why would you put yourself at risk for an annual family vacation, especially when your Dr. has shown concern?
To me, it sounds like too much work--a motorized wheelchair to get around at theme parks, taking all of your records with you, traveling for 22 hours. I would postpone the family vacation this year, and do something fun with your family closer to home.
Your priority is your baby right now! Dont worry about vacation. Best wishes.
