Why are the disabled not discharged from the Army IRR?
I know guys with missing fingers blown off in Iraq, guys with heart conditions, and my self with 7 sc's. I know 3 that are 100% disabled by the VA but the Army said "you are only missing part of your hand so we will deny your med board." These people sometimes in wheel chairs get harassed by career counselors from HRC and congress has done nothing to stop this crime. The worst problem for disabled vets in IRR is the muster because they must chose work a day for free or give up your disability for a month.
What does the Army think they will accomplish from this?
Note I have no issues with keeping able bodied soldiers but this is sick!
Agreed, I've got friends in this same situation, a sick bunch of politics man...I served in the first Gulf war and I was immediately honorably discharged with PTSD because during an eval I told an army Psychologist I was tired of killing, (27 confirmed) and got full med cause my career path (Ranger) didn't have essential non-com applications...
It sucks that you guys lost partial limbs and can't even get fully discharged, I'm sorry and I feel for you brother...Good Luck to you!
