Weight Wheelchair Transport how much will the government pay to get me a new mobilty scooter ?
i have a wheelchair over 5 years old the motors are about shot and the weight spec's dont fit me anymore i recieved it when i weighed 250 pounds i am close to 340 now cause my legs and spine are getting worse i need a scooter to transport me and one that carry's 400 to 500 pounds.
It depends on your insurance. Medicare or medicaid. It also depends on what you need it for and how well your pt eval writes a letter of medical necessity. You need a lot of documentation to get a new wheelchair.
