im in the uk.
Go to alibaba.com then head for electric vehicles and there are a whole range of not to expensive electric vehicles including scooters. They all do over 8miles per hour have a range of about 50miles. They are mostly old technology, lead acid batteries, not necessarily the most efficient or even cost effective.
Alternatively get any small engine scooter. The amount of fuel they use is tiny..

a friend of the family has just bought a £1000 scooter but with this chap being a big bloke i think his weight slows it down, when others are on it my self included it still has a nice little speed about 6mph and im 15 stone , is there any thing we could do for him to make it a little more powerful maybe 8- 10 mph when he's on it? if so whats the best thing to try? would a bigger battery help? please genuine answers only thank you.
Hi! they are sold with different power 4/8/10mph. the more power the better they go. have you tried turning the power knob up? You need this to make it go slower when you, shall we say coming in your front door it needs to go slow.
