How do you convert an electric hair dryer to a battery operated hair dryer?
I'm trying to convert an electric hair dryer to a battery operated hair dryer by connecting the wires of the hair dryer to 11 9-volt batteries. Will that work or do I still have to do something else? Please help... Thanks...
By the way, I'm just after the fan, not the heat...

You really can't convert an existing dryer without using a large inverter and a large auto battery.
I've never seen a portable hair-dryer.
The problem is that they use about 1200 watts, and with a 12 volt battery, that is 100 amps. Even a large auto battery will last only 30-45 minutes at that rate.
9 volt batteries will last for seconds.

What do I need to take multiple D cell batteries to power a 24 volt electric motor?
I know this is not the best way to power the motor, but I'm trying to learn about what is needed to link together energy sources to power a motor.
Because D cells only produce 1.5 volts each. So you need 16 in series to boost the volatage to 24 V.
