Veterans Wheelchair Sports
I am in a pageant for women in wheelchairs, Which Platform would be best?
Raise awareness of Rare Diseases-I have 2 in my family VHL -von Hipple lindau which paralyzed me and SCIDS which is Severe combined immunodeficiency syndrome. Both are a mutation of a Gene.
Raise awareness and promote a Healthy lifestyle- Women in wheelchairs in Sports, pageants, ect. Getting out and doing something
Promote awareness of PTST- focusing on Veterans-which I am!
Whenever I've had to choose a platform for a pageant, I find that the more targeted your platform is, the more committed to the cause you sound. I would choose the first option - Raising Awareness of Rare Diseases. You have a personal connection to this, as it has affected your life.
While the second platform is a good one, promoting healthy lifestyles is a little more over used, and therefore, probably a bit cliche.
