Utility Ramp
Has anyone tried to load a 2007 Polaris X2 onto a tilt-bed 5x8 atv trailer?
The X2 is about 11 inches longer than other full-size utility quads, and i'm concerned that it might not load well on a tilt-bed trailer. Has anyone tried this yet? The trailer i'm lookin at is 5x8 flatbed made by Echo Trailers. And what about unloading...any problems there? Do these tilt-bed trailers really work as well as the dealerships claim? Or should i just buy a set of ramps? I dont wanna ruin my brand new atv tryin to ride it up or down one of these trailers...what do you think?
I HAVE A POLARIS 500HO AND A 4X8 TILT TRAILER.
I OPTED FOR THE SMALL TRAILER SO I COULD ALSO TOW IT WITH THE ATV
FUNCTION OF THE TRAILER IS FINE, HOWEVER THE ATV IS QUITE HEAVY AND I DON'T LIKE THE WAY IT COMES DOWN HARD ON THE TRAILER FRRAME
THE FIRST TIME I LOADED IT I ENDED UP HALF WAY OVER THE TONGUE.
I BUILT RAILS FOR IT AND PLACED A R/R TIE ON THE FRONT AS A WHEEL STOP FASTENED WITH LAG BOLTS FROM THE UNDERSIDE.
I USUALLY CARRY MY RAMPS UNLESS I AM GOING HUNTING AND DONT WANT THE RATTLE.
SAFETY WAS NEVER AN ISSUE AS I FEEL IT IS SAFER THAN DRIVING UP RAMPS ONTO THE BACK OF A LIFTER 4X4 PICK UP.

car accident, who's at fault?
I was driving into the holland tunnel and requires merging. i stop and let the big commercial truck to proceed but the end of his truck, the utility ramp on the back of his truck that was hanging out clip and caught my passenger side mirror causing my car to deteriorate. police were there at the scene, but they say they saw nothing. the officer say it's hard to determine whose at fault while merging.
my bumper, fender, passenger side mirror is all badly broken but his commercial truck is spotless. to make matter worse i recently switch my comprehensive and collision coverage to liability because of money matter.
am i reliable for my own damage, or should i file a claim with my insurance company?
i live in new jersey and the accident happened in new york, if it matters.
it depends on the scenerio dude...if you fully slowed down to give the truck enough space...
