The need to know so as to where to put them, I was in one for 6 months after a broken ankle gone bad, I ended up with reflex symphatic dystrophy, osteopea, n osteoporosis in my left ankle and its surprising how hard it is just doing the shopping, nobody worries if they run into you with their trolleys, so beware, my other half was in a wheel chair for nearly 2 years after breaking his neck in a diving accident, when he was finally released he got hit by a car on his way out of the hospital, yep, back in again, then fell in a drain with his cane (was under the influence this time) and he had terrible trouble, we have just completed a five year study on broken neck patients and their quality of life, yes its tedious, but they have said there maybe a different treatment that he can try so he doesnt have to have a double hip and knee replacement, isnt that worth a moment of your time, and remember, stories or success are uplifting to those less fortunate to give it a go and speak out that you can walk again and if you cant, that you have support from your local housing authority and shopping centres etc., hope you will be okay, goodluck and keep smiling!
