UpLift Technologies Beethoven, Mozart, Tschicopsy, Handel, Schumann - will the era of classical music make a come-back someday?
Though I am a man in my middle age, I find classical music composed hundreds of years before I was born so uplifting spiritually. The deep inspiration these composers had was far beyond this earth. And then, their era disappeared.
Why are there no modern classical composers or as the world forever done away with this genre of music? Will the era ever return, now that, with technology, we now have better musical instruments and recording facilities?
Tschicopsy is the most inventive way of spelling 'Tchaikovsky' I have seen in a long time. Congratulations!
I'm afraid I get very annoyed (and, as a result very undiplomatic) when I see people spouting uninformed rubbish as fact ("Why are there no modern classical composers or as the world forever done away with this genre of music?"). You clearly know very little about music or the music profession (you can't even spell 'Tchaikovsky'). That's OK - not everyone can be (or should be) an expert, but please don't come in here and start printing 'facts' that are patently wrong.
As Malcolm correctly states, classical music has never gone away (do they not have concerts or classical music radio stations on your planet?). Just because you hear noughties pop pap pumped out of every electrical orifice, don't presume that classical music isn't alive and well in a quieter place.
There has been a constant stream of composers writing notated music since the eleventh century (and many before that whose music is, sadly, lost to us). There are hundreds of composers of modern classical music alive and flourishing today. You don't know about them, presumably, because you are too lazy to seek them or their music out.
While it is true to say that classical music is not the easiest profession to be in during a worldwide recession, it is completely ridiculous to pretend it has gone away and needs a 'come-back'.

Humans and evolutionary "uplifted" chimpanzees search for the Progenitors, who engineered the uplift some centuries ago, but have since disappeared. The third volume of the acclaimed "Uplift" series was the winner of the 1988 Hugo Award.

Space Exploration Part 4: Ambitious technologies
why is mankind always ready for its own uplifting putting the nature in back-gear?
it is immaterial for we people what is happening around us. we have advances in science and technology but it has given birth to green house gases leading to chaos in global atmosphere. we may be dying sooner than god had thought of.
I think we are pampered and spoiled by having everything we need to survive at our finger tips and most people would have died if they had to live here 150 years ago without modern conveniences. Stupid people. They don't care about a thing except themselves.
