Ulcer Pad

This may sound a silly question but to me it is serious?
I suffer with ulcers on the leg which is pretty bad, covers all the bottom part of my leg, I am on antibiotics all the time. I also have staph
In the last 4 days the ulcers have been leaking clear fluid, I have edema, the nurse comes every second day to treat my leg and leave me a supply of pads and bandages, I use a compression stocking but that does not help the leaking, I have to change the pads and bandage more than twice a day
I was thinking about menstrual pads or baby nappies how they soak the fluid away from the skin, would it sound strange if I used something like them to stop the fluid from leaking down my leg and stop my leg from going white and lumpy from the moisture
Can anyone suggest something I could use?
I cannot elevate my leg because the ulcers are worse on the back of my leg and that is where it is leaking the most
I will suppose that you have "stasis dermatitis with ulceration". If that's the case, it's fine to catch the leaking fluid with any absorbent gauze, and a pad would be great. Despite the fact that you mentioned that you have been using compression stockings, you didn't mention whether you practice leg elevation, which is also important in stasis dermatitis, and might help reduce the amount of leaking that you are experiencing.

Genetic Background of Venous Leg Ulcer Development $103.56 Leg ulcer is multifactorial disease with several known acquired and inhereted predisposing factors. In some cases, besides the characteristic acquired etiological factor such as venous insufficiency, there is a putative inherited etiological factor, which also contributes to the mechanism of delayed or pathologic wound healing and thus to the development of leg ulcer. Therefore the delineation of the molecular mechanisms of pathologic wound healing might lead to the development of causative treatment opportunities for the therapyresistant forms. Turley Backboard Pad
URGENT What do you think about the restrictions on whipping horses?
Pros
A step foward towards reducing animal cruelty as horses get lameness/ulcers/bleeding of lungs.
They are whipped excessivelly/bruising inflammation.
Other nations eg UK have a stricter regulations only for safety/correction
They are used uncecessarily and excessively
Cons
Makes it dangerous for jockeys to control their horse
RSPCA analogy to the pain the whip inflicted on him is nowhere the same to a horse who are thick skinned beat 10 times the weight of a jockey and their kick can kill a person which puts a padded whip in a rosier light.
Jockeys put away whops when horse resents it.
It is an encouiraging device and a steering guide not cruel.
Im not sure what view to take..
whipping horses is ok if you are trying to get your poing across (NOT WHIPPING but tapping to catch attention) but doing it for no reason is definately not ok
