How do you transport?
a disabled person in a car. What I mean is to which extend you need to help them to get into the car and how do you secure the wheelchair in the back? Excuse my ignorance but I need to know.
I guess, the main question is, is the person WEIGHT BEARING, can they stand un aided? If they can, then put the chair almost alongside the front seat of the car. BREAKS ON! Then ask the person to use your car to support themselves into the car, with you being very close to avoid falling. Not sure how your situation is really to be of much more help there. As to the chair, breaks on, cushion seat removed, pull the supporting part which was under the cushion and this could make the chair fold up, take off the foot rests, easy. Hopefully you should get the whole thing into the boot, but be careful of your paintwork, get help if you are not very tall or strong!!! Good luck!
