Whats the fastest you should drive with part time 4 wheel drive?
I have an 00' Cherokee with New Process NP231 "Command-Trac" case. Ive always heard its like 30 in gravel/snow but i can do 50 on snowy roads and the transfer case make less noise than going 30.
45 mph is a safe max speed, although it mostly depends on road conditions. Patchy snow and some dry pavement can cause problems, especially in turns where you will get binding. Excessive speed cause front driveline problems over time, but keeping it around 45 or under will be a good safe bet. Good luck!

4 wheel drive problems?
I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport and the 4 wheel drive is command-trac. It's snowing here and I noticed my car was skidding a lot so I wanted to see if puttin it in 4 wheel drive would help. My car is always in 2 wheel drive but theres also neutral, 4H, 4L. I put it in 4 wheel drive and my car was swinging all over the road like going out of control (I wasn't going very fast maybe like 10 mph). Then my stick to change the 4 wheel drive was stuck in a position, finally I got it switched so I put it back in 2 wheel drive, and started driving. However, when I tried to go faster it seemed my car was resisting, then I pulled into the parking spot and the turn made my car do a low grunting noise. It just seems like everything is messed up!! Can anyone help
well first I think you should lube the shifter for a wheel drive , so it can go in and out freely , then check the u joints and shafts for play , worn out joints ect , most likely it is stuck in 4 wheel that is why it seems like its resisting the grunting noise is normal in 4 wheel on turns , so 4 wheel drive is a funny feeling esp in a jeep , so first lube up the shifter , inspect the front drive line and check your front end for ball joint play and tie rod play , if all is tight then take it out in the snow and get used to it 4 wheel high for road driving such as highway and low for off road and slow driving , is also good to use it every so often jeeps like to rust and get stuck "shafts" and linkage , need more instruction e mail me
