Touch Power Mobility
Touch Power Mobility
What is your NFL prototype QB?

What would your dream QB be like. You can model yours after a real NFL QB. Be realistic.

Mine is:
Height 6'5"
Weight 225lbs

Whats Yours?
Throw Power: High
Throw Accuracy: Medium
Can stand in the pocket and take a hit. Can throw down field at any spot in the pocket. Average lateral mobility and can fit the ball into small places down field. Average mobility with a great boot-leg. Has nice touch and can throw while being hit. Throws a laser ball on a slant route. Feels no pressure can lead a team in third down plays and fourth quarters. Perfect for the shotgun formation. Modeled after Chad Henne
@ Ed Reed I didn't say Chad Henne I said after him. I wouldn't pick Chad Henne at all but his traits I like. If I said Flacco would you be saying that. Flacco fits that description above too. So I'll go back and change and say modeled after Flacco just for you Ed Reed.

I'd pick one like Peyton Manning but just a little more mobile. There are things I'd look at:

1. Drive - If the guy doesn't have drive he isn't going to be good.
2. Brains - Brains win out over braun with most quarterbacks. Ryan Lief and J. Russell are two excellent examples of guys that had the talent but not the brains or drive.
3. Health - There are some pretty good quarterbacks out there that never really lived up to what they really could be because they were injured too much. Carson Palmer, McNabb, Kurt Warner, etc are just some.
4. Pocket Passer - Stats have shown that pocket passers tend to do much better in the NFL than mobile quarterbacks. It's good to have a little mobility to get away when needed. But having the smarts to stay in the pocket and just take one or two steps to avoid a sack is the kind I like to see. Tomb Brady, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning are all great at that.
5. Size - The dude should be big. It makes them hard to take down and harder for the pass to be picked off or knocked down.
6. High completion percentage - Any quarterback of any merit in the NFL has a descent completion percentage.
7. Low turnover rate - Orton may not be flashy but he rarely turns the ball over and he ends up winning a lot just because of that.
8. Strong arm - If they are covering you short, you have to be willing to take the chance and go for the home run and make them pay. Take advantage of what the defense gives you.
9. Quick release - The QB has to get it off before he gets sacked. That means a quick release. Peyton Manning is the King of that. Blitz him and he makes you pay because he gets it off quick and the blitz leaves guys open and he isn't afraid to go for the home run play.
10. Consistency - I want to see him play good every game, not just now and then. Manning is the King for that too. He's made it to the play-offs for 7 years in a row and won at least 12 games for the past 7 years. And he normally starts off the season 5-0 at least half the time.

Capital Mobility and Tax Competition

Capital Mobility and Tax Competition

$71.7

Tax competition and coordination is one of the most pressing issues for tax authorities in modern economies, but it is a highly controversial subject. Some argue that tax competition is beneficial by forcing governments to impose efficient tax prices on residents for the provision of public services. Further, some argue that tax competition is also beneficial by limiting the power of governments to levy taxes. Others take a different view in a world without coordinated tax policies, governments choose suboptimal levels of public services financed by inefficient taxes that are either too high or too low by ignoring spillovers imposed on other jurisdictions. Capital Mobility and Tax Competition draws out the most important issues of uncoordinated tax policy at the international level for crossborder transactions. The discussion focuses on mobile tax bases, specifically in relation to investment and financial transactions. The main issue for consideration in this survey is whether taxation of income, specifically capital income will survive, how border crossing investment is taxed relative to domestic investment, and whether welfare gains can be achieved through international tax coordination. This survey derives some of the key results on the taxation of international investment in variants of one model of multinational investment. Finally, the authors emphasize the problem of tax competition and financial arbitrage, an issue which is somewhat neglected in the existing survey literature. Social Stratification and Mobility in Central Veracruz

Social Stratification and Mobility in Central Veracruz

$35.04

Since the Revolution of 1910, Mexican society has undergone a profound transformation, characterized by the disempowerment of the landed aristocracy and the rise of a new ruling class of plutocrats and politicians; the development of a middle class of whitecollar professionals; and the upward mobility of formerly disenfranchised Indians who have become urban, workingclass Mestizos. Indeed, Mexicos class system today increasingly resembles that of Western industrialized nations, proving that, while further democratic reforms are needed, the Revolution initiated an ongoing process of change that has created a more egalitarian society in Mexico with greater opportunities for social advancement. This authoritative ethnography examines the transformation of social classes in the CordobaOrizaba region during the latter half of the twentieth century to create a model of provincial social stratification in Mexico. Hugo Nutini focuses on the increased social mobility that has affected all classes of society, especially the rural Indians who have taken advantage of education, job opportunities, and contact with the wider world to achieve Mestizo status. He also traces the transfer of power that followed the demise of the hacienda system, as well as the growing importance of the middle class. This description and analysis of the provincial social stratification system complements the work Nutini has done on the national class system, centered in Mexico City, to offer a comprehensive picture of social stratification and mobility in Mexico today.
