Sling Petite okay mommies which carrier do you prefer for breastfeeding?
i bought a carrier sling from walmart, but i'm petite, only 5' 2", ang it was to big, hung to my waist, any suggestions.
I heard the Ergo was great and you can use it for a heavy baby also. I never breast fed in a sling or any type of carrier before. I have the baby bjorn with the extra lumbar support which ended up costing me $140 but I only used it for 4 months. It's kinda funny the type of money first time mothers waste on things.

Baby should not be rolled so that his face is pressed tightly against the parent's body.

Which baby sling would you recommend?
I want to get a sling carrier for my baby (due next month). I will be breast feeding so I would like one that is convenient for that. I am also petite so one that is made for smaller women, or could be adjusted to fit comfortably on someone small would be great. I am not looking for to get the moby wraps just slings. Can anyone tell me which sling they would recommend, or even one that you didn't like at all? Any advice appreciated. Thanks!
huh, you have interesting recommendations here. I have 4 slings and the ring sling that I have is my least favorite (it's a maya brand). it puts all your weight on one shoulder and once your baby is over 10 lbs it's not fun to carry them around in for that reason. I liked my moby for when my son was smaller but if you don't want that I'd recommend getting an ergo with the newborn insert. they're a little expensive but the padding on the shoulders and the way they're constructed makes it VERY comfortable -- my 20 lb son fits just fine in it and it does not hurt my back. I got it when he was 7 months old and I wish I had gotten it sooner. it's got a breast feeding hood too and all the straps are adjustable. you can put your baby on your back when they're older as well. I also had a snuggli carrier (similar to a bjorn) and I hated that one too -- don't get that kind!
