Seat Cushion Wheelchairs How to use a drop seat wheelchair and cushion?
Need to lower a chair 4 inches. No shorter chairs available at this time. Found several "drop seats" that lower chair 4 inches. They have cross-bar cutouts. The cushions have cross bar cutouts. This doesn't sound like a safe option for me, as I need maximum pressure relief from a ROHO cushion. I fear the wheelchair cross-bars will press into my backside causing pressure areas. There must be a solution out there. I need a 10 inch high, 20 inch wide wheelchair that I can use my 4" high ROHO cushion on. Can only find a 14 inch high wheelchair, and thought a drop seat might suit my needs. Thanks for your help.
