How do I remove the back seat of my 2007 Honda Civic?
I recently bought a new set of seat covers. I need to remove the back seat (both the actual seat and the back rest) to properly install the covers. I found two latches at the front and bottom of the seat which allows me to raise the cushion but i can't figure out how to completely detach the seat cushion. The back rest, I can't figure out how to detach it. Help please. Thanks in advance.
For the bottom cushion, there is a bolt on the passenger side, inbetween the passenger seat and the the center seat. You will need a 6 inch extension on a socket wrench to reach it, I believe it is a 12mm. Once you remover this bolt, the seat cushions will just lift out.
For the back portion, this will be a little more complicted. Once the bottom cushion is removed, you will see the bar that attaches the bottom of all the seat backs.
You have the side of the seat that folds down 60% of the seat, and the portion that fold down 40%.
Remover the bolt on the right side of the 60% portion, then the bolt on the left side of the 60% portion.
Then remover the bolt on the left side of the 40% portion, and it will slide out.
I might be a little off on the removal of the seat backs. Its been a couple months since I have removed them. Once you get the seat bottoms off, you should be able to look at the bar that holds it all together an figure it out fairly easily.
It isnt really that complicated.

Okay so: I've had my couch set for 5 years. There are tw couch cushions that are a little flatter and worn. The little shop where we bought it is closed.
Is there anyway I can bring in a piece of the pattern/fabric to a store ie) Bernie and Phylis so they can copy it and make two new seat cushions?!

Tilt couch forward, and look underneath it. you might find some material there, that doesn't show when the couch is sitting upright. Snip out a small piece, and take it to the store that sells the material. Or, take it to Bernie and Phyllis, and i'm quite sure they can do what needs to be done. You might take one of the old cushions along, so they can measure it, to make new ones.
