are sukida mopeds any good?
about to buy a little 125cc sukida scooter 1 year old mint condition 400 quid! is this bike cheep because its crap? i have not had much luck trying to resech it on the net but what i have read doesnt sound to promising! and im under the impresion that this bike is not suposed to get wet! can anyone help? your help would be much appreciated!

Well, They aren't bad but they also aren't the best.
One reason many people are adamantly opposed to chinese brands like Sukida is the difficulty in getting parts or service. Take for example the difficulty you've had just finding information about these scooters, and imagine how much more difficult it would be trying to find a replacement carburettor needle or some other part.
Also, many repair shops will not work on them, one reason being that while the engines may be solid many mounting and hardware is cheap soft metal which can strip or break and no shops want to be held accountable if that happens. Regardless if you're willing to learn you may be able to do many repairs yourself, I'd recommend looking for a repair forum or group on Yahoo here since a service manual will be hard to come by.
Honestly you'd be much better off going with an established brand like Honda or something in the Piaggio line like vespa or aprillia. While they may be more expensive you'll thank yourself. Check around your local classified to find one without shelling out a lot of cash. You'd be many times better off with an old yamaha than a new Sukida.
In the end, it's really a gamble. If you want something cheap and now, get the Sukida, but if you want something to last, look for a better brand.
