Carburetor question on 49cc moped?
After much messing around and problem solving and using the proses of elimination i have come to a conclusion. On the carb for my scooter with the air filter off i have noticed that the carb gets NO gas, now though if i take my hand and block the air intake on the side of the carb not only does it start drawing in gas from the tank ( i can feel it hitting my hand ) it draws in so much gas as to flood out and stall! If i "flutter" my hand around the intake it runs and stay running provided i keep my hand there when its dry and pull it away before it floods. and yes i did put the filter element back on and replaced the cover but it still runs dry even though i restricted the flow of air. any suggestions would be great. Below is a link to the schematic for my exact carburetor if it helps.

the link is dead. so no idea what carb you have. variable Venturi or butterfly.
it's gravity feed....
check tank for contamination. remove filter/gas cap as to illuminate any possible obstructions. check the petcock as well. that's all there is for fuel supply/delivery.
other than that, since we don't know the carb, rebuild the carb. cant be more than a 20 buck kit.
maybe a clogged passage. slide or butterfly type, doesn't matter. all you have is a jet, float, choke, and an accelerator pump. wont be the pump, could be the choke, or a stuck float or partially clogged jet.
EDIT; after thought. could also be a carb base gasket leak or if it's a rubber coupling, the band clamps there can be an issue.

name of childrens poems and limericks?
i remember this book when i was a child, the cover was full of a playground with children in it, like graffiti drawing and funny pictures on the cover. it was paper back and had poems in it some that i can remember our nicky nack noo, sausages in a pan, good king wecseles... "went out on the feast of stephen a snowball hit him on the nose and made his face uneven" and also had a poem that went something like "we 4 kings of orient are john in a taxi paul in a car, george on a scooter tooting his hooter followed by ringo star" and it was fully illustrated pictures next to some poems. Can anyone remember the name of the book?
