Scooter Basket Red
Hi fellow seniors, did you ever ride a tricycle or did you go directly onto your first bicycle?
I had one similar to this.
I still have photo's of me on my trike, it also had a little basket on the front.
I then went onto a bicycle much later than my friend who had stabilisers fitted and I recall enviously watching her cycling around while I had to stand by and watch.
I eventually got my new (second hand) shiny red bike for Christmas, it was such a surprise as I was told not to expect anything quite so grand as money was tight. When I first saw it in the middle of the lounge on Christmas morning I thought it was for someone else.
So did you start off on a trike, maybe you had a toy scooter, or pedal car,or perhaps you went straight onto a much desired two wheeler ?

I had a tricycle but it was a bit bigger than yours. It was, as usual, second hand. I can't remember what happened to it. I then got a scooter for my Christmas one year and I loved it and went whizzing along the pavements on it. Later, I progressed to a bicycle - again second hand and used to cycle for miles and take a sandwich with me and have a little picnic.
