Red Companion
What's a good companion for my fish?
I have a five gallon tank and one red wag platy. Unfortunately the fish is male and, currently, recovering from a minor case of tail rot. I was wondering what fish would go well with him when he is done recovering and able to move back into his five gallon tank (though I do not want females and thus fry until I am done setting up my 60 gallon tank). Thanks in advance.
Though my description is a little misleading, my fish is currently in a 5 gallon tank recovering though he will be moved back into my 60 gallon tank.
Platies need a minimum of 15-gallons.
Fin Rot is caused by toxic water conditions, which are found in overstocked, uncycled, and/or poorly maintained tanks.
Your 5-gallons is suitable only for a single Betta.
Upgrade to a 15-gallon or larger tank, and then you can start thinking oftank-matess for your fish.

Would it be cliche if I had a wolf companion in my story?
I have a golden red wolf in my story, who is very loyal as well as slightly wild. He is a sort of companion to my protagonist. Now I am wondering if it is too cliche to have a loyal wolf in my story, since animal companions like mine are, frankly, a bit overused. Would it be less cliche if I changed him to an elephant? Could you recommend any other animals that are not so overused (please no lions, horses, stags, wild cats, etc.)

Hm i don't think a golden red wolf is clique it sounds cool! I haven't heard of it to much. Hm if you still want an unused animal what about a large bird with sharp claws that fights by slashing the enemy in the eye blinding them.
Oh yea and please don't change him into an elephant XD that would be funny but weird.
