I'm not saying his looking at porn on the internet is a good thing, but he doesn't have to search for brothels in areas to which he travels to "look at the girls". There are plenty of porn sites where he can probably see a lot more girls doing a lot more things.

Since he knows you are onto his porn use (addiction), he is going to be more clever than to use his cell phone or credit cards - at least ones that you know about. Disposable cell phones are widely available, and he may be paying cash or have a credit card you don't know about. The statements could be coming to his office, a P.O. box, a friend who covers for him, etc. Where there is a will there is a way.

I'm not saying I wouldn't want to know what my husband was up to, but if I found out and had to check up after him and try to "catch" him, and put a porn blocker on my computer, then this would not be the marriage for me. I imagine that he has use of a computer somewhere where he can still access internet porn, or he has found a way around the block on your home computer.

This whole thing smells really rotten. If your hubby is visiting prostitutes, and my guess is that it's pretty much a no-brainer that he is, then naturally he will also lie about it. Your health and life could actually be at risk. Condoms do not protect 100% against STDs to include AIDS. At legal brothels in Nevada, I'm sure the "girls" are checked, etc., but some of these diseases "incubate" for a while before they will show up positive on a test. HIV can take (rarely) up to a year to show it's presence even though the person can give it to others during this time. It usually shows up within three months but who's going to be notifying your husband if one of these prostitutes comes down with something? NO ONE. And, in the meantime, I imagine you are having unprotected sex with him - although, as stated above, condoms are "safer sex", there is NO SUCH THING AS SAFE SEX unless it is with a healthy monogamous partner. Also, he may be visiting prostitutes in illegal areas as well.

Your husband is addicted to porn, you say. Has he undergone any treatment? Trust me, without treatment and, unfortunately even with treatment, it's extremely unlikely that he will or even can stop this behavior on his own.

I'd run, not walk to a medical doctor and get checked out for all STDs, make him do the same and get into counseling ASAP. Use condoms until you are positive you are safe, which is one year after he has had sex with anyone else (plus tests negative after this year).

If he won't get counseling, then he's not very invested in your marriage and doesn't have a strong enough desire to change.

No matter how scary it may seem to be alone, kick this loser to the curb ASAP if he is not willing to go through with the medical testing and counseling. "Better to be alone than wish you were", my neighbor always said. And I speak from experience. I divorced an alcoholic when our daughter was three and did not remarry until she was 22. It was really hard but it was better than living the life I had with him, and he would not get help (didn't need it, of course). Living with an addict is a debilitating life; I know.

This behavior is intolerable from a trust point of view in a marriage and from a health risk standpoint as well. When you get tested, tell your doc what's going on (trust me, he or she will have heard everything you say and probably worse before); that way, he/she can advise you on course of action, support groups, therapists, etc.
