Quickie Wheelchairs
Quickie or TiLite Wheelchair?
right now i have a Quckie Q7....it is my first chair....but i've seen the TLites and i think they look nice....what is the best chair for looks, performance, etc....
I currently use a Quickie, but today I ordered my first TiLite (ZRA series 2).
I chose TiLite because I liked the look of it better. Plus, the fact that the TiLite is lighter in weight than any of the Quickie 'chairs (even their ultra lightweight) was a BIG factor. (at least the ones I ran across) I wanted to be able to get rid of my Chair Topper (my carrier on my car), but in order to do that I needed to find a chair I would be able to lift pretty much one-handed so I could lift it into my car myself.
Only you can ultimately decide which brand will work best to fit your needs.

Reinventing the Wheelchair
What is a good rear-wheel wheelchair in the US?
I am looking for a power wheelchair to replace my wife's five year old Invacare Storm Ranger-X 3G. She is looking for a rear wheel drive chair that is less than 25 inches wide and more than seven miles per hour. We have looked at the Quickie S646se, but she doesn't like how much it drives like a midwheel. We also looked at a Permobil C350, but it felt far to unstable to her, and was too large in all directions to comfortably fit in our house. We were going to look at a Quantum R4000, but the sales reps took over two months to deliver a demo, and we're still waiting. She needs a chair with good shocks because she drives fast over broken sidewalks for about ten miles every day. We are also looking at Bounder, but don't know if our insurance will pay for it. Any other suggestions with power tilt and recline and a seat to floor height of 18 inches or less?
She needs to talk to her wheelchair provider for this. They will be able to tell her what is best for her and to measure her. However, working at a wheelchair company myself, I can tell you the Permobil is the best chair out there. If you can get your insurance to pay for it, that is. They are very expensive. However, it all depends on the wheelchair company and her.
