Power Seat
Can the power seat on a 2007 Mustang Gt be reset back a few inches?
I fit in pretty well but I could use another inches. I don't care about the back seat being unusable when I go back all the way. What's involved, who does it and what's a reasonable charge?
Have a look at how the seat is attached to the floor of the car. It may be possible to move it back a few inches just by drilling new bolt holes and sealing up the old ones. A handyman might be able to do it, or you could take it to a body shop. It shouldn't take more than two or three hours at the most, assuming the power cable can be used as is, or an extension added easily.

Frasier Seat Of Power part 3
My aunt can't get her power car seat to go back, what could it be?
My aunt has a 2000 Dodge Intrepid and the other day she moved her front passenger seat , which is power, all the way forward to make room in the back for a nightstand, now the seat is all the way up and won't go back. I kept pushing the lever to go back but all i get is a clicking noise. The seat is all the way up and she's really frustrated because she doesn't want to spend a ton of money on this. Any suggestions on how to get the seat back? Any idea on what could be causing this problem? The drivers seat works fine.
More than likely, she stripped the gear in the seat motor mechanism...not her fault, just the works getting old... sorry, unless you are a mech person, it's gonna cost her a few $ to repair at a garage...just the replacement unit is expensive...Chrysler is famous for cheap gear parts back then. Try this, sit in the seat. Move the control to the reverse position, and GENTLY push back on the seat with your legs...it might just put it back on track, but if it doesn't, what the heck, it's already broke.
