Power Mobility
Should those mobility vehicles really be driven on the pavement?
I've had it a few times where they come shooting past me in the pedestrianized area. Sure they do up to 10-15mph. If bicylces were doing that speed with pedal power there would be a public outrage. And never had one that even bothered to look what that whiff of wind was as they whizzed past me.
What you think? Should they be on the pavements and pedestrianised areas as they are or should they have speed restriction that makes them unable to go faster than walking speed?
UK question.
In the UK there are two different kinds of mobility vehicle. One that is only capable of 4 miles per hour (a reasonably fast walking pace) and another capable of 8 miles per hour. I understand that the ones that can reach 8 miles per hour (and are allowed to use roads) are soon to require insurance. There are no plans (as far as I know), to require people with the slower machines to be insured.
I work with people who use these as their only means of going out independently. For this reason alone I think they are excellent.
I think the people who sell them should be required by law to ensure the user is competent when they sell them.

Capital Mobility and Tax Competition $71.7 Tax competition and coordination is one of the most pressing issues for tax authorities in modern economies, but it is a highly controversial subject. Some argue that tax competition is beneficial by forcing governments to impose efficient tax prices on residents for the provision of public services. Further, some argue that tax competition is also beneficial by limiting the power of governments to levy taxes. Others take a different view in a world without coordinated tax policies, governments choose suboptimal levels of public services financed by inefficient taxes that are either too high or too low by ignoring spillovers imposed on other jurisdictions. Capital Mobility and Tax Competition draws out the most important issues of uncoordinated tax policy at the international level for crossborder transactions. can we switch this graphics card to Intel on board graphics to conserve power
I have the same card for my laptop, but it is a 5730. and it is NOT switchable, i believe yours is not as well.
in all honesty i do not think that will conserve power if you switch to an Intel board graphics card. it will only wast more power if you are gaming. btw the ATI mobility graphics has a driver software where you can actually conserve more power on your battery by lowering some of the specs/speeds on the card.that is what i do when i use my laptop for school.
