Power Chairs question about medicare and power chairs?
if a doctor say or writes a prescription for a power chair. does medicare pay for it and if so which letter would it be (A, B, C, or D)?
I already am on medicare.
Medicare will only pay for one mobility devise every 5 years.
If you needed a walker last year and medicare paid for one and this year you need a power chair they would not pay for it. You'd have to wait 5 years before they'll pay for it.
You might be able to get one through a charity or something.
