Power Chair Switches
1996 Ford Taurus fan relay identification?
I asked a simular question, got some helpful answers, but perhaps I was too general in my question. Hope this additional info makes it more clear. The responses given so far have been a big help in narrowing this down, thanks to all who took the time.
Okay, fan won't come on, even with AC or defroster on. Tried switching all simular model number relays around while the engine was running, no difference.
Is there a diagram somewhere that tells which relay is the cooling fan relay (besides the one on the lid which I can not tell anything from, they seem to be arranged in different groups as the number of relays is different than pictured, duh!)?
If I understand correctly, the module CCRM isn't servicable but tells the relay in the power distribution box to kick on the fans after the temp sending unit tells the computer to do so. Assuming that both fans wouldn't have failed at once (maybe one at a time and I didn't notice?), then after playing musical chairs with the relays?
if memory serves me right there is a little black box that bolts on the radiator support under a black plastic pannel that has 3 non servisable relayyes in it they used to alwyas bun out and cause a over heating problem
