Can you get a Medicare Scooter for free?
My dad has Parkinson's and with it, has orthostatic hypertension where his blood pressure drops and he faints. Well, he was going to get a chair from the VA, but he talked them into not giving him one. He said he could walk really far, which is not true. He for some reason got it in his head that he had to be well enough to use one. So, they denied him. I'm wondering about Medicare and who sells those power chairs. I saw that Medicare only pays 80%, but I'm wondering if any of the places that sell them have a way where they only accept the 80% that Medicare pays. Any info is greatly appreciated on how he might get one for free. Thanks in advance.

Some companies may accept the 80%.
