Pool Lifts Wheelchairs

Help! Please read all details before answering...I need diet ideas.?
I am overweight (not a minority in the great US of A)
I need to loose weight
I can not use exercise
ok, well I could but I am in a wheelchair, my only safe exercise is swimming. In a warm water pool that offers a lift. Located 15-20miles through town. And I am the SAHM of 2 toddlers so lets say I cant and IF I manage to get there once a week I am doing really, really good.
I am on a tight budget
I am whey intolerant (that's a dairy protein).
I get headaches if I get hungry.
I am sensitive to eggs (they hurt my stomach if eaten as a main coarse, or if I eat too much)
my kitchen is not wheelchair friendly (and did I mention toddlers) so it needs to be quick and easy.
All this has been very discouraging to me in starting any kind of diet plan. Also, I LOVE food.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I am not opposed to meat, but thought posting it here might get more non-dairy ideas.....
Since you love food and feel bad when you are hungry, a good alternative is to eat only healthy foods. When everything in your kitchen is relatively low fat (or low in bad fats anyway) you won't have much of an issue. I never limit the amounts of foods I eat because everything I eat is healthy; I don't have to feel bad about eating too many raisins or fruit or salad.
#1 is stocking the kitchen with healthy food. If anyone can help you with making the kitchen more wheel-chair friendly, that would obviously be a good start. But if not, stock up on lots of healthy snacks. Put a bowl of fruit on the counter (or even on the coffee table or the dining room table) so that it's easy to access. Get some dried fruit. Look for crackers that are whole grain and rich in fiber and have a few grams of protein. Keep the foods you eat most where you can get at them. Have a drawer in your dresser or nightstand be reserved for healthy foods you can get to easily. Luna bars are delicious, vegan, and so good for you. You might try looking around for other nutrition bars that you like and keep them handy.
As for the budget, cheese and meat are really the most expensive things. Packaged goods are the costliest. If most of your food is fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, and dry grain products (rice, pasta, beans, lentils), that's not very expensive. However, if you have trouble cooking those things, stick to the fresh fruits and vegetables which require little prep. You might look for good frozen meals. Amy's Kitchen is all vegetarian and much of it is vegan or dairy free. Great for a quick meal. There are lots of frozen pasta dishes and stir-fries, as well. Look for dairy-free, low-sodium canned soups, too. Trader Joe's has some good frozen entrees.
Good meals are rice dishes (pilaf or rice with peas and carrots and any other veggies), pasta dishes with tomato sauce or pesto, big salads, oatmeal, cereal with soymilk, fruit salad, lentil soup, vegetable soups, bean soups, stir-fries, pita hummus and vegetables, bean and rice burritos, baked potatoes with vegetables or a salad, vegetable lasagna, peanut butter sandwiches, turkey sandwich, or a veggie burger. Some good things to snack on include nuts, dried fruit, fresh fruit, etc.
Good luck!

Swimming Pool Lifts for Disabled?
Could anyone out there help me with a problem, I am looking for a lift or device to help get my disabled wife into our swimming pool. she can get from her wheelchair into the pool ok but getting out is a problem as I cannot lift back onto her chair. A proprietary lift costs $9500 and is just far to expensive.
You are not going to get much help with a swimming pool lift as it is not essential to living UNLESS it provides some medical benefit to her. I don't think you are going to find anything much cheaper.
I was recently traveling and had a similar problem. We put a plastic chair into the pool which I sat in when I was ready to get out - that helped me enough that I could do the rest myself with some strong arms outside the pool.
