Performance Mobility Is an ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4870 Crossfire better than an NVidia GeForce 9800M GTX?
Which one of these cards perform better on a laptop? I heard ATi cards deliver better performance than NVidia cards.
Between those 2 the 4870 is better hands down. The 9800 is just a updated 8800 video card. The 4870 has a higher core clock speed and more stream processors as well. i personally own a Sapphire 4870, desktop version, and there isn't a game out there that I can't play on high settings.I hope this helped.

I'm preparing to buy an alienware m15x gaming laptop, but I am now customizing the video card. So among these 2 : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M (DDR3) & ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 (DDR5), which one of the these has stronger performance in terms of gaming and graphics ?
nVidia is a rip off. They think they're better than they are. The ATI Radeon HD series are much more powerful and can handle more games smoothly. nVidia is just trying to money make once again. The Radeon 5850 is stronger. It's brilliant for powerful and memory hungry games like The Sims 2 and 3 etc.
