Pathway Ramp
Was it wrong of me to pee here?
Well i went running the other day, and for some reason forgot to pee before i left.
so... i was about a mile into my run, and i couldnt take it anymore, i had to go. so theres this bridge that goes over the highway, purely for walkers and bikers... not very busy. so i crossed the bridge and there was stairs, which are the alternative to the ramp. nobody takes them. well i went down there to see where they went, and i found a corner. it was a fenced corner to some backyard. people would have to look akwardly toward me to see me... is it wrong to pee right there by a public pathway? ....yes, for all of you who would ask, i AM a male, and no, its not short.
No, it wasn't wrong. Every person in the world has to pee several times per day. Sometimes the urge hits us at an inconvenient time and we have to do what we have to do. I used to be hung up about it; now when I have to go, I find the best spot I can and let nature take its course.

Adding a ramp between walkway and patio?
I have a concrete pathway leading up to a patio. The patio is about 2 inches above the pathway. I wish to build a ramp that will adjust for this height difference. I eventually plan to have the pathway resurfaced, so I'm thinking of a concrete ramp. I've never worked with concrete and would like to get some advice on how to proceed.
If your patio is only 2 inches above the pathway and you are thinking of resurfacing the pathway then i would either resurface the pathway to be level with the patio then there would be no ramp. Or instead of resurfaceing only 2 inches ( which could possibly be problematic in the future) I would take up the old pathway and repour it to the height needed. Frame out small enough sections you can work with. using probably 2x4s. You may need to add some sand in the 2x4 forms so you don't have to pour concrete more than 3.5"- 4" inches deep. It would just cost more for no need reason. The top of your forms (2x4s) should be flush with the top of your patio. Pour the concrete in the forms and allow it to set over night. You can go to your local concrete place where they bring it by the truck load not Lowe's or HomeDepot. Tell them what i have said and they can add to it and explain it better on paper if needed and they will tell you how to use the expansion joints between your sections. That way you can pour more than one section a day without one of the 2x4s being in the way.
