Pain Cut Medical

My vagina has a cut, it's VERY sore and sensitive, and dry. What would help?
I am pretty sure it is a cut, it's right in the middle of the lower part of my 'lips'.. My vagina is very dry also(which is probably from shaving). I've tried looking at it closely, but it's very sensitive, swollen, and red. I'm pretty sure it's a cut, but like I said I can't look at it very closely, the pain is extreme,to the point where it's very painful to even walk.
I guess a detail I should add is that yes, I have had sex recently, but it was dry, which I think caused the irritation/cut.
What can help this, I was thinking Vagisil but I have never used it so I'm not sure...
I'm kind of worried, should I get it checked out? I'm positive it's not an STD or anything like that.. but could a cut need medical attention?
Whatever you do, DO NOT, i repeat Do not, put any kind of Neosporin or Bacitracin down there. it will cause a massive yeast infection. The best bet is to use a little bit of Vaseline (petroleum jelly) to keep it moist and lessen irritation. And if it still hurts and is bothering you in a few days see a doc for some antibiotics just in case it got infected. And always make sure your well lubricated before any kind of penetration either with lube like astro glide or KY or by taking time and doing some more foreplay.

Pain Management $81.25 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Pain management (also called pain medicine; algiatry) is a branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach to easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with pain. The typical pain management team includes medical practitioners, clinical psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nurse practitioners. Pain sometimes resolves promptly once the underlying trauma or pathology has healed, and is treated by one practitioner, with drugs such as analgesics and (occasionally) anxiolytics. Effective management of long term pain, however, frequently requires the coordinated efforts of the management team. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. Psychogenic Pain $82.85 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Psychogenic pain, also called psychalgia, is physical pain that is caused, increased, or prolonged by mental, emotional, or behavioral factors. Headache, back pain, or stomach pain are some of the most common types of psychogenic pain. It may occur, rarely, in persons with a mental disorder, but more commonly it accompanies or is induced by social rejection, broken heart, grief, love sickness, or other such emotional events. Sufferers are often stigmatized, because both medical professionals and the general public tends to think that pain from psychological source is not real. However, specialists consider that it is no less actual or hurtful than pain from other sources. The International Association for the Study of Pain defines pain as an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage, or described in terms of such damage (emphasis added). Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 124 Publication Date: 2011/01/04 Language: English Dimensions: 6.00 x 9.02 x 0.29 inches |

Chest Pain $165.96 J. Willis Hurst, MD, a pioneer in the development of cardiology, and his colleague, Douglas C. Morris, M.D., both of Emory University, have edited this book and chose its unusual title for very specific reasons. Patients sometimes have an odd view as to anatomic landmarks that identify the location of the chest, and may assign terms other than pain to their discomfort. Hence the quotation marks around chest pain. The arrow (>) after chest pain indicates that the physician initially may not know the cause of the symptom, so a differential diagnosis must be established. This book was written to reintroduce in the modern clinical setting the knowledge and skills needed to analyze symptoms, physical findings, and ECG and xray abnormalities in order to accurately diagnose more than 50 different conditions that may bring about a complaint of chest pain. Experts in the fields of cardiology, pulmonology, dermatology, orthopedics, thoracic surgery, and psychiatry contribute a unique perspective on this common but compelling medical problem. Each chapter concentrates on one causative syndrome or malady, from its initial presentation to its etiology, to differential diagnosis and treatment, while an abundance of welldesigned figures serve to illustrate the location of the chest pain.Any cardiologist, primary care, or emergency care physician who may encounter a patient complaining of chest pain will benefit from this books clear, concise and thorough approach to the problem. Author: Morris, Douglas C./ Hurst, J. Willis Binding Type: Hardcover Number of Pages: 514 Publication Date: 2001/10/16 Language: English Dimensions: 9.24 x 6.40 x 1.50 inches |

Camp Pain : Talking with Chronic Pain Patients $46.15 Pain is the most frequent cause of disability in America. And pain specialists estimate that as many as thirty to sixty million Americans suffer from chronic pain. Chronic pain is a complex phenomenonoften extremely difficult to treat, and surprisingly difficult to define.Just as medical literature in general neglects the experience of illness, so the clinical literature on pain neglects the experience of pain. Camp Pain takes an approach different from most studies of chronic pain, which are typically written from a medical or social perspective. Based on a years fieldwork in a pain treatment center, this book focuses on patients perspectiveson their experiences of pain, what these experiences mean to them, and how this meaning is socially constructed. Jackson explores the psychological burden imposed on many sufferers when they are judged not to have real pain, and by harsh moral judgments that sufferers are weak, malingering, or responsible in some way for their pain. Jackson also looks at the ways in which severe pain erodes and destroys personal identity, studying in particular the role of language. While keeping her focus on patients experiences, Jackson explores Western concepts of disease, health, mind, and body; assumptions about cause and effect; and notions of shame, guilt, and stigma. Camp Pain does not attempt to resolve the uncertainties and misperceptions associated with pain but rather aims at enhancing our understanding of the wider implications of chronic pain by focusing on the sufferers themselves. Author: Jackson, Jean E. Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 280 Publication Date: 1999/12/02 Language: English Dimensions: 9.00 x 6.13 x 0.81 inches |

The Challenge of Pain (Paperback) $27.81 Over the years a scientific revolution has taken place in the field of brain research and therapy. A major catalyst for this change was the introduction in 1965 by Professor Ronald Melzack and Professor Patrick D. Wall of the `gate control` theory of pain, which led to an explosion of research studies and new therapeutic approaches. In this informative and important study they explore the current status of pain research and treatment. Divided into four sections, the book describes the psychological and clinical aspects of pain, presents the rapidly increasing physiological evidence and examines the major theories of pain and their implications for its control. The authors emphasize the need to promote education regarding the treatment of pain among both health professionals and patients, arguing that many people suffer needlessly through ignorance of medical advances. In the final section they explain the exciting developments in pain control, in particular the radical approach to the control of chronic pain being pioneered by pain clinics and hospices. |

Medical Breakthrough--Virtually Painless Dental Surgery
What is the medical cause of a grinding sound in the knee, with no pain associated?
PLEASE DON'T ANSWER IF YOU DON'T KNOW. NO CUT AND PASTERS.
THANKS!
It can be a few things, but the two most common problems being a bucket handle tear of the meniscus or chondral tear. Both are cartilage in the knee, and both can get caught in the patella and thigh and shin bones while moving causing a catch, pop, grinding or locking in the knee. It can be caused by simply squatting down or by a direct blow to the knee cap. The only way to heal these injuries are by an arthroscopic knee surgery to most likely remove (sometimes repair) the cartilage. After the procedure the recovery time is about 4-6 weeks with weight bearing as comfortable.
