Safe distance b/w high voltage electric cables and WiMax outdoor CPE?
Hi,
There is a location where there is a requirement of outdoor WiMax CPE to be installed. One problem is that high tension electric wires are passing over the building at around 50 to 70 ft. height. There must be around 4000 Watts of electricity passing through the wires. I need to ask that whats the recommended safe distance between such high voltage electric cables and a WiMax communications CPE?
The magnitude of power passing through the wires is irrelevant. What matters is the voltage on the overhead wires.
There is a standard for the minimum clearance between an energize conductor and a structure that specifies the clearance as a function of the voltage on the conductor. That standard doesn't apply if the conductor is fully insulated - you may see insulation on the conductor, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is fully insulated.

I have bought LOTS of "beginner" (under $120) helicopters, and I hope that I can save you some time in saying that if you get one, it will break within a day, and it will constantly turn in a circle, making it impossible to steer. Plus, the battery will charge for a half our and give you 5 mins of fly time.
